The Objectives of the HCSP
- To conduct an annual Strategic Assessment in accordance with the Crime and Disorder Act 1998 and other relevant legislation
- To develop and implement a crime reduction Community Safety Plan for the Borough in accordance with the Crime and Disorder Act 1998 and other relevant legislation
- To monitor and evaluate the progress of the Community Safety Plan
- To respond to emerging community safety issues in Havering
- To work towards meeting Government requirements within the Partnership
- To ensure that the work of the Partnership is inclusive in its approach, especially to minority groups and people who are socially excluded
- To build crime prevention and community safety objectives into the operation of public sector organisations, and promote the mainstreaming of community safety to private and voluntary organisations
- To ensure synergy with the work of the Partnership and Havering Youth Offending Team, Havering Drug Action Team and other relevant bodies
- To secure appropriate partnership resources and support the Crime and Disorder Reduction Strategy
- To co-ordinate and promote Community Safety activity within Havering
- For the statutory partners to approve or amend the distribution of Partnership grant funding for CDR purposes on the proposal of the Implementation Group
