Anti Social Behaviour (ASB) in Havering

Although Havering is one of the safest boroughs in London, with relatively low levels of anti-social behaviour, tackling the problem is a priority for the Community Safety Partnership because we know how important it is to everyone who lives or works here.

What is anti-social behaviour?

Anti-social behaviour (ASB) covers a wide range of selfish and unacceptable activity that can blight the quality of community life. (Source: Home Office)

It is behaviour that is unreasonable, intrusive and persistent and may be caused by people of any age. Some examples are:

  • Excessive noise - from neighbours, music, TV
  • vehicles and dogs
  • Rowdy behaviour in public spaces
  • Harassment – intimidating or aggressive behaviour, abusive language and actual (or threatened) violence
  • Nuisance behaviour by neighbours
  • Underage or anti-social drinking in public spaces
  • Misuse of fireworks
  • Graffiti, vandalism
  • Reckless driving of scooters, mini-motos and motorbikes and riding them in inappropriate places
